Who wants to have some fun?
Tubing the Yampa River is one experience that no visitor to Steamboat
should miss. We will rent you the tube, provide all the information
for you on your float and then shuttle you back to our boathouse
so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Cost: $15 per tube
Where to meet: Our boathouse
is on 11th Street, between Lincoln Ave. & the Yampa River.
What time is best to go tubing: The earlier
the better because afternoon rains typically roll in around 1:30
pm and can spoil your float. We will not have set departure times
and tubes are rented on a first come-first serve basis. We are limited
to how many tubes we can rent on any given day so plan to go tubing
earlier in the day than later.
How long is the trip: From the time you
meet us to the time you leave us, the entire trip is no longer than
2 hours. This of course varies depending on river flows, shuttle
time and your own agenda. The tube float itself is no longer than
an hour.
Hours of operation: 10:30 am-
4pm
Age Limit: 3 years or 30 pounds.
Children under 10 must wear a life jacket. The trip is suitable
for all ages. Parents must accompany young children.
What to bring: Wear cloths
that dry quickly: shorts, bathing suits, tennis shoes, river sandals,
hat and sunglasses are suitable. If you do wear a hat or sunglasses,
think about fastening them down somehow with Croakies or Chums because
if your tube tips over you may loose those items. Raingear, wet
suits and booties are available to rent at our boathouse.
Reservations: We only take
reservations for groups of 20 or more. A 50% nonrefundable deposit
is required at the time of the reservation.
Group Discounts: No discounts
are available on tubing trips.
Cancellation policy: Full payment
for group reservations is due 24 hours prior to the trip time. Cancellations
or no-shows forfeit 100% of their trip payment.
